My Khe Beach is the reason most foreigners and remote workers choose to live on the east side of Da Nang. The area around Nguyen Van Thoai Street and the lanes leading to the beach has the highest concentration of rental apartments in the city, at prices noticeably more comfortable than the centre.
Common room types
Studio, 30–35m² — one open space with sleeping area, kitchen and living area. Suits one person on a moderate budget.
One-bedroom, 38–45m² — a bedroom separate from the living room. The most rented type for long stays and couples, and the easiest to work from home in, because you can close the bedroom door during calls.
Whole villa — for groups of friends, large families or a long holiday together.
What to ask before renting
The rent is easy to compare. What's harder to compare are the extras:
- Is electricity charged at the EVN rate or a fixed rate, and is there a separate meter?
- Is water charged by volume or per person?
- Is the internet a dedicated line or shared across the building?
- Who pays for repairs when appliances break?
- How much is the deposit, and how soon is it returned?
Two apartments both at 12 million VND can differ by several million a year just because of how electricity is charged. We go into more detail in 12 questions to ask before you sign.
Monthly rates are far lower than nightly rates
The same room booked nightly through a travel platform and rented directly by the month can differ by as much as half. If you're staying 30 days or more, always ask for the monthly rate.
RentalFM in this area
Ben House and Dawn are in the same lane, 227 Nguyen Van Thoai, about a 150m walk from My Khe Beach. Both are operated directly by RentalFM: electricity at EVN rates with separate meters, a dedicated internet line for each unit, our own maintenance team, and full contracts and invoices.
