Renting a whole villa makes more sense than booking several hotel rooms once your group reaches six or more: you get your own kitchen, a shared space to be together, and the cost per person is usually lower.
How big a group justifies a villa?
4–6 people — a 3-bedroom villa is enough. More than that and the living room starts to feel cramped in the evening.
6–10 people — a 4-bedroom villa. The most common size for groups of friends and multi-generation families.
More than 10 people — consider two villas close together rather than one oversized one. Bathrooms and the kitchen are what get congested, not the beds.
What to check
The pool. Ask its size, depth and how often it's cleaned. A pool that isn't treated regularly still looks good in photos — you only find out once you're in the water. With small children, also ask how deep the shallow end is and whether it's fenced.
Air conditioning in every room. In a villa with AC only downstairs, upstairs bedrooms get very hot at midday.
The kitchen. Big groups usually cook at least a few meals. Ask whether there are enough pots and pans, how many burners, and how big the fridge is.
Parking. If you're coming by car, ask how many cars the yard holds and how wide the access lane is. Many villas in Da Nang are down lanes: a seven-seater can get in, but larger vehicles can't.
Noise rules. Villas are in residential neighbourhoods. Ask about the quiet hours in advance so the fun doesn't have to stop halfway.
Monthly and nightly rates
Villas usually have both. Nightly suits short holidays, with significant peak-season differences. Monthly suits families staying long term, teams working together, or extended winter stays — and works out much lower per night.
If you're staying a month or more, always ask for the monthly rate before booking nightly.
